About Me

I was born in St Albans, Hertfordshire before moving to Salisbury when I was 7 years old.  In 1991 I qualified as a Speech and Language Therapist and have followed my love of painting since then.  I have lived in Wokingham, Whiteparish and, since 1999, the New Forest National Park where I live with my husband and two beautiful daughters.

About Me

I love working in watercolours as they can be fluid, loose and on other occasions very precise. I also love using pen and ink along with other mediums such as acrylic as they afford me the opportunity to be brighter and bolder.  My artistic influences come from whatever I see around me. Living as I do in such a beautiful part of the world with The New Forest, Salisbury Cathedral and the surrounding landscapes – I am blessed at having a constant source of inspiration. In recent years I have walked on the Great Wall of China, Hadrian’s Wall and the first part of the Camino de Santiago – going over the Pyrenees for charity so my Walking Boots and other shoes have also been subjects for me to paint.

About Me

For the most part I am self taught, although I have studied with Nikki Sheppard, Teresa Rogers, Elizabeth Hemming and Sue Taylor, all wonderful local artists.  My work is displayed in homes in Singapore and New Zealand as well as in local collections.

I regularly exhibit my art in exhibitions via the Salisbury Art Scene, Plain Arts and the Salisbury Art Group. Please look at my Calendar page to see where my work is being exhibited over the year.

I host the Hampshire Open Studios with other artists exhibiting in my garden every August along with ‘Christmas Art in the Garden’ that we run for one day in either November or December on an annual basis.

I am a member of:
